Head of Accounting (Valuations) – PCF 34

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into the role of Head of Accounting for a new fund administration start up company for a global multinational. If you for example you are in a Senior Private Equity Fund Accounting role and would thrive on the challenge of becoming a Head of Valuations and helping the senior management team for a global brand build out a new business this is superb opportunity.

Head of Accounting (Valuations) – PCF 34:

PCF 8 & Head of Accounting (Valuations) – PCF 34:

  • Be the key appointment for building the management team and hiring of key staff.
  • Develop new business leads.
  • Develop relationships with depositaries, law firms, audit firms and other consultancy firms.
  • Assist the sales team with new client proposals, pricing and head count requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance client service level agreements (SLA’s). Ensuring the client expectations and service level provided is of the highest standard.
  • Assist clients with new fund launches as well as new product offerings.
  • Responsible for Fund Accounting department and all funds being administered by the department. As the business grows your role will become less operational.
  • Be the main point of contact with the Central Bank of Ireland ensuring all regulatory returns are made in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring robust Fund Accounting and Valuation processes and procedures are implemented.
  • Ensure thorough and robust AML/CTF frameworks are in place. Ensuring a strong AML culture is prevalent in the business.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications required for CEO – PCF 8 & Head of Accounting (Valuations) – PCF 34

  • PCF 34 CBI approval or have the necessary experience and qualifications to obtain this approval.
  • Qualified Accountant is desirable and Private Equity Fund Accounting experience.
  • Strong level of experience with Investran.
  • End to end PE experience a must with ACCA and/or Financial reporting experience highly desirable.
  • Experience in hiring and managing teams.
  • Strong technical fund industry experience and also a proven track record of strong client relationship ability. 
  • Experience setting policies and procedures in order to mitigate risks and errors.

Middle Office Officer – Fund Manager

Our client has been very successful over the last number of years and are based in a fantastic office in Dublin City Centre in a prime location for lunch and transport accessibility. They promote a very positive and collaborative culture where their employees would receive exposure and variation in their daily duties and then also have autonomy in the projects they are required to work on. Being in a small buy side operational team it is the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of a large multi-national highly functionalised sell side environments. The exposure provided this role to project management and risk can open doors for other career paths due to the exposure you will receive in this role. They are really favouring middle office experience along with strong VBA and excel skills.

Remuneration for Middle Office Officer – Fund Manager:

Responsibilities of Middle Office Officer – Fund Manager:

  • Ensuring funds are correctly priced and no trades, prices, corporate action events are missed.
  • Close collaboration with Portfolio Mangers and Brokers.
  • Identify training requirements and recruitment and motivation of partners.
  • Keep up to date on regulatory changes. Ensuring the client is kept abreast of these.
  • Reduce any potential risk areas. Review and discuss these with senior management.
  • Review fund calculations and performance.
  • Increase automation in order to streamline workflows.
  • Overseeing Fund administrator ensuring performance is within tolerance levels.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications required for  Middle Office Officer – Fund Manager:

  • Funds services experience within any areas such middle office, funds, portfolio valuation, depository and relationship management all desirable.
  • Strong ability to with VBA, Excel (building macros) essential.
  • Strong presentation, leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and solve problems.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into the role Team Manager for a rapidly growing UCITS Manco in Dublin. They have €29bn AUM at present and is continuously growing. If you have strong overall middle office experience with either an asset manager or fund services company and is seeking a role to broaden your knowledge in positive and highly motivated team this a role not to miss out on.

Remuneration for Fund Operations & Oversight Manager - Asset Manager:

Responsibilities of Fund Operations & Oversight Manager - Asset Manager:

  • Daily overview of settlements fails and seeking their solution.
  • Resolution of daily queries and issues.
  • Reconciliation between counterparties, custodians and administrators.
  • Oversight of EMIR reconciliation programme.
  • Dealing with global transfer agent. Projecting subs and reds cash flows.
  • Oversight of service providers. SLA’s are adhered to.
  • NAV oversight. Ensuring derivative pricing is correct.
  • Management of distribution requirements.
  • Team Management.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications required for Fund Operations & Oversight Manager - Asset Manager:

  • Educational background in Business, Accounting or finance discipline.
  • At least 7 years’ experience within back/middle office or operations.
  • Strong UCITS knowledge including various financial products.
  • EMIR/SFTR reporting experience desirable.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated.
